Dream description
I had a bizarre dream. My father was using embers from a burning letter. The letter was from my aunt on my mom’s side. He held the burning paper, drawing the embers into his pen. The pen wrote words bound in blood and fire.
In the dream, I saw him in a mirror. It was unsettling. His left hand, not his usual right, wrote in strange, twisted motions. It looked almost demonic. His right hand was busy, but I don’t remember with what.
He smoked the letter to capture the embers. These embers were the ink for his writing. He wrote in an old book, the words taking shape from the ashes.
Interpretation
Dreams involving writing with fire or embers can symbolize transformation, the power of words, or the idea of knowledge being passed down through generations. The use of your aunt’s letter and the image of your father writing with a ‘demonic’ hand might reflect a sense of ancestral influence or the uncovering of hidden family secrets. The mirror image could represent a distorted view of reality or a deeper, perhaps darker, aspect of your family history. The old book could signify a connection to the past or a record of significant family events.
Advice
To better understand this dream, consider what the act of writing and the elements of fire and transformation mean to you personally. Reflect on any recent experiences that may have triggered thoughts about your family history or the power of words. It might be helpful to have a conversation with your father or other family members about any stories or traditions that have been passed down. If you feel comfortable, you could also explore the possibility of learning more about your aunt and the letter that was mentioned in the dream. Remember, dreams are highly personal and can be influenced by many factors, so take time to reflect on what this dream might mean to you.
